Marc Pamatian

Founder of Chief Bookkeeping Officer

Marc Pamatian built Chief Bookkeeping Officer because he has been inside bookkeeping firms long enough to know there is a better way to do this work. For regulated businesses, especially law firms and med spas, he views bookkeeping as more than just a way to track performance or get a tax return filed. To Marc, it is a critical compliance function. Done correctly, it protects the business, the license, and the right to operate. Done carelessly, it creates risk that most owners do not see until it is too late.

Over the last several years, Marc has worked closely with law firms operating under State Bar requirements as well as medical aesthetics practices, surgical centers, and related entities that live under CPOM rules and professional-board oversight. That experience shaped the entire premise of Chief Bookkeeping Officer: financials must be defensible, consistent, and built with the reality of regulatory scrutiny in mind. He believes the stakes are higher in these industries and that it does clients a disservice when service providers pretend the work is basic bookkeeping and nothing more.

Before moving into the financial space, Marc spent 18 years in marketing, directly generating $100 million in sales while serving organizations with high standards and zero patience for fluff. Much of that work was tied to the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force) and large enterprises across industries, including New York Life Insurance, major defense contractors like Lockheed and Northrop Grumman, and entertainment brands such as Wizards of the Coast and Saban Entertainment Group. He was not just responsible for sales; he also led creative direction, making the strategy, messaging, and final deliverables as sharp and effective as possible.

That background defines how Marc operates today. He communicates clearly, respects the time of busy professionals, and remains focused on getting the details right. Lillian Pham is the Chief Marketing Officer at Chief Bookkeeping Officer. A marketing graduate by background, she has built her experience exclusively within the accounting and bookkeeping industry, giving her a strong understanding of how specialized financial services should be positioned, communicated, and brought to market.

She is particularly skilled in research, editorial content development, and campaign strategy, with strengths across both written and visual marketing. Her work includes shaping messaging for new service lines, creating educational and authority-building content, conducting keyword research, and strengthening technical SEO foundations that help service-based firms improve visibility and communicate their value with clarity.

As search continues to evolve, Lillian’s focus includes helping the firm adapt to a new landscape shaped by generative search, agentic discovery, and AI-driven information retrieval. Her work is centered on building content and digital structures that support not only traditional search performance, but also visibility in the systems increasingly influencing how prospective clients discover and evaluate professional services.
